Gossip Girl by Cecily von Ziegesar
1-24
11) The beginning
explains what one of the main characters, Blair Waldorf, is like. She is mostly
stuck up and full of herself as far as I can tell. She is dating a boy named Nate.
Her mother is Eleanor Waldorf and she is going to be marrying a guy names Cyrus
Rose. Blair doesn't like them being together because she does like Cyrus. They Waldorf
family decided to throw a party and invite all their friends over. As doing so
everyone was talking about Eleanor and Cyrus getting together. During the party
an old friend of Blair’s who goes by the name of Serena Van Der Woodsen, showed
up after being gone for two years and not being in contact for a year. No one
had a clue she was coming or she was back from her boring school, except her
family.
22)
“Don’t listen to a word that girl says. Girls
like surprises. They want to keep things interesting. You know what I mean?” This was being said from Cyrus to Nate about
Blair. I think this is an important quote because Blair and Nate have only been
dating for a year and he never surprises her. He thinks that If he doesn't treat
her special then he will lose her. Now
he is going to be figuring out things he can do to remind Blair that she means
a lot to him. Later to find out that Serena comes home. Serena and Nate were
lovers in the past and now that she’s home he starts thinking that he never
lost feelings for her.
33)
In this part of the book I can connect to Serena
because she lived in one place for a while and made a ton of friends but then
she decided to leave and she moved somewhere else for a while and she moved
back again and her and her friends didn't stay in that good of contact and now
that she is back things with her and her friends are a little weird now. That similar
story happened to me. When I moved here and then I moved back to Nevada and
then I moved up here again. I didn't stay connected with my friends as much as I
wanted to and when I moved back everything was different with my friends. Everyone
else had different friends and everyone was hanging with different people, and
when I got back I didn't know where I fit in anymore.
